Effortless Orgasms Are Possible with the Ocean Breath

Can breathing help you have orgasms?

Tantra is an ancient art that teaches ways to use your vital energy to uncover your natural state of bliss that is often clouded by our limiting beliefs and the problems they engender.

One of the most important tools is using the Breath to open energy and utilize your life force that can be blocked or suppressed. Whether you are looking to expand your vital energy into erotic, spiritual ecstasy or live consciously, breath is key.  There are several types of breaths, and is the key to enter the state of relaxation and openness necessary to have the energy flow necessary for Tantric lovemaking. The Ocean Breath opens you gently and powerfully. It’s sad that this priceless present of life is underutilized. I’m asking myself how breath would be used if it were sold and a high price.

Here is one example of how the Ocean Breath can work.

I recently started seeing a great looking woman, whom I name Karen, who came in my door so stressed that she could not sit still. She was constantly re-arranging her body while sitting on the chair. Her eyes were speedily moving around in hypervigilance. She could not finish one sentence, rushing to get to the next.

What she said was obviously coming from the rehearsed circular thinking in her head. She did not allow herself time to feel; she hated herself and especially her body. She grew up with a self-righteous alcoholic father and a Catholic mother who did NOT allow herself or her children to feel, especially pleasurable feelings; those would bring you to hell.

Karen complained that she had a painful to admit secret: she was 49 years old and she had never had an orgasm! All her friends were telling her of their great lovemaking, ending in earthshaking orgasms they had. She wanted that too, before it’s too late.

Whether they were telling her the truth or reciting what they read in Cosmopolitan, she believed them and guessed there was something wrong with her.

Talking to Karen did not seem the best approach. Because of her rigid believes she would just filter out my words. I had to try something more direct.

I could see that Karen was breathing high, shallow breaths, lifting her upper chest while her lower chest remained immobile, and her belly pulled in tightly as though she had to save her back from the strain of lifting a heavy weight. She was in a state of high stress. Although her muscles were quite tight, giving the illusion of strength, she was pale, and low energy.

I started her off with the Ocean Breath, a gentle yet powerful breath that takes people out of thinking and into their bodies in a very short time.

Although the Ocean Breath is easy to learn, the resistance to it can be great. One of the skills of a guide is to create a safe space where one can feel supported in discovering emotional truths that are hiding from the conscious mind.

Karen’s first fear was that if she lets herself feel, she might be swept away by her emotions… perhaps even become crazy. We looked at it together with kindness and the fear started to diminish enough for her to achieve a relaxed state she had never felt before.

She continued doing the Ocean Breath for a while; her body started to soften. Her cheeks became rosy and the constant movement in her eyes slowed down. She was afraid of falling asleep when she reached a peaceful place. Falling asleep is a defense, so I invited her to continue breathing, which she did. Then another fear emerged. she was afraid of liking pleasure so much she might stop working and then starve!

Those were serious fears she was not aware she had. Then she continued breathing and still another fear came to the surface: she would be punished or raped if she allowed herself to be playful.

Those fears were calmly addressed, one at the time. She continued the Ocean Breath and soon she surrendered to enjoying the feeling of pleasure in her body and a sense of acceptance that she never felt before.

By the end of the session, she had transformed her urgency to have an explosive orgasm as her friends said they are having, into a calm confident acceptance that having orgasms is natural when you allow yourself to just feel and be present to feelings, knowing that you are bigger than your feeling. While riding on the waves of the breath becomes easy to integrate the amazing truth that you are more than your thought and your feelings.

With the Ocean Breath, Karen could reach a place where she was feeling the flow of her energy, free of the constantly interfering mind full of beliefs she had inherited. She could not have been present to feeling pleasure in her body until she released her blocks against pleasure. Being present in your body in the energy flow with an open heart is an orgasmic experience.

The Ocean Breath opens you up for love and communication on a deep level. Breathing this breath helps you become aware of what needs to be expressed to be present to the love that it always there if not covered up by thinking, fears, and expectations.
